Coaching: Writers, Adoptees, Women in Transition

My goal as a coach is to help people lead more authentic, soul-centered lives, whether that is coaching adoptees through the reunion process, writers as they create the works they’ve dreamed of, or women seeking to transition to full-hearted living.

Workshops: Mindfulness, Yoga, Writing

I’m a 200-hour certified yoga teacher and a Certified Mindfulness Instructor. I have taught at yoga studio, in schools, and online. I designed and taught a semester-long mindfulness and yoga class to high school students, as well as teaching yoga to high school athletic teams and teaching mindfulness to adults in a variety of settings.

Writing classes and workshops are prose-based (fiction and creative nonfiction) and suited to all levels. Whether you’re just getting started or have a draft of a novel hiding in your desk, I can tailor classes for you.

I also teach classes that combine yoga, mindfulness, and writing. These range from using writing to explore what the physical body has to tell us (a lot. It’s pretty insightful if you know how to listen) to using mindfulness and yoga techniques to deepen the craft of writing.

For the most part, I work through Zoom, but do have some availability for in-person classes, workshops, and retreats.

Upcoming classes and workshops can be found here.

Speaking

I love speaking to groups large and small about mindfulness, connecting to inner wisdom, and adoption from the adoptee perspective. My TEDx talk, “Letting Go of Expectations,” is linked here.

After participating in mindfulness activities, I found myself refreshed and more openminded.” -M.M.

During stressful and tough times, I know I can rely on this technique [mindfulness] to get my head back in the game and make it through whatever is thrown at me.” -High School Student

The mindfulness sessions…made me a better student if not a better person. I even saw an outcome when I was communicating with people…I have noticed a big change in my life from just one simple exercise and that, I am truly grateful for.” -High School Student
