As an author, my fiction and creative nonfiction are published in literary journals in the United States and in Scotland. Some of the places you can find my work are at the Association for Scottish Literary Studies’ literary journal, Black Middens:New Writing Scotland, in anthologies from The Reading Room on the Isle of Skye, and in Pine Mountain Sand & Gravel.

My debut novel, The Thorn Tree, (MP Publishing) released in 2014. My second novel, When the Ocean Flies (Vine Leaves Press) released in early 2024. Vine Leaves Press will publish my short story collection,   Between Sea and Sky, in 2026.

As a speaker, I focus on opening space to connect with authenticity and what is as well as on adoptee issues and adoption from the adult adoptee perspective. My TED talk looks at how my adoption and reunion led me to let go of expectation and discover the power of opening to what is.
